Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy your colors? Are they for sale?

We are planning to sell the colorants in the near future and we will be notifying our mailing list when they are available. You can click here to sign up. If you have more questions, please don’t hesitate to email us.

Are you using household food waste?

We are partnering with farmers to get our plant waste in large volumes. Each year, farmers produce many metric tonnes of plant waste that are underutilized. Many farmers currently sell their plant waste as fuel for biomass or fertilizer. We step into this supply chain and extract our colorants, and the remaining mass is then used for other applications. By doing this, we’re being extra energy efficient and utilizing plants to their best potential!

What kind of plants are you using?

We currently use waste from onions, pomegranates, avocados, and cabbage. We have additional plants in our “portfolio of plants” that we are currently testing and we hope to expand our product offering as this research progresses.

What materials can your colorants be used with?

Our plant-based colorants and inks can be used with a variety of protein and cellulose-based textiles, screen-prints, and print media. This includes silk, cotton, paper, bioplastics, waxes, and soaps. Many of these applications are still in development.
